Chambre is the label dedicated to the more mellow vibes in the catalogue. Lo-fi, downtempo, trip hop, and plenty of instrumental music you can spin anytime you need to set a relaxed mood.
How it started
The label was born in June 2019 with Everyday by Magpi.
But the spark came even earlier: as far back as 2018, Fatstep was already curating tracks in this slower, hazier style-like Ramx’s Halloween Special EP, Chillea’s Chillhood, or Low J’s Blast Off EP.
At some point, it made more sense to give these tracks their own space rather than keep categorizing them under Bass Music. Chambre became that home.
The sound
Initially, it was deep trip hop, electro downtempo, and core lo-fi - and honestly, that hasn’t changed much. The catalogue leans into lo-fi but isn’t confined to it. You’ll also find weird, soft tracks, often tinged with melancholy - all at once. If a tune makes you want to dim the lights, it’s probably made for just that kind of atmosphere.
The lineup
Doc Sebulba, The Last Port, Eu4ic - among others - shape the Chambre sound. The selection is pretty relaxed genre-wise, as long as the lo-fi spirit is there.
A few tracks to get you into it
- Don't Wanna Be In Love - Eu4ic. Weird in the best way, exactly what Chambre aims to share. And surprise - it caught the attention of Riot Games two years after its release, for the 2023 League of Legends tournament in Shanghai.
- To Forget - Evidence of Ghosts. An experimental lo-fi piece that feels like what a ghost might experience.
- That Place - Nalifi. Just a really good tune.
